Scholastic Book Fair @ Desert Cove
Desert Cove PTO has been proud to partner with Scholastic Books to host 2 book fairs per year. Our Spring Book Fair is Buy One Get One Free! Below you'll find general information about each fair and as our fair dates draw near, our Scholastic Book Fair Site will have all of the important links for you! Cashless Options (eWallet) - PREFERRED WAY TO PAY

eWallet is the quickest and easiest way to pay for both your student and the PTO! eWallet is Scholastic's cashless payment option. Setup an eWallet before the fair and don't worry about cash falling out of a pocket! You'll need to setup a new eWallet for each fair and during the process you'll be presented with an option to move your leftovers from the last fair to the current fair.

sales tax

All items at the fair are subject to 8.6% sales tax. Make sure to send your student with about an extra dollar per 10 dollars they can spend to account for the tax.

100% volunteer run
 |
The book fair is 100% run by parent volunteers. As each fair draws near, check this site (Under the VOLUNTEER menu) for opportunities to help make this day magical for all DCES students. |
SPRING BOGO

Each Spring is a Buy One Get One FREE book sale! And the great thing is, the for each item that's full price, the next highest priced item is free! For example, if you choose 4 items and those items cost $10, $9, $5, and $3. You'd pay for the $10 item, and get the $9 item free and you'd pay for the $5 item and get the $3 item free. |

Would you like to help us ensure that every student has the opportunity to shop the fair and go home with a book? You can donate to our book fair fund and every dollar will go directly to buying books for students in need, classroom libraries, and the library.
If you need help ensuring your student can shop the book fair with their peers, please reach out to your student's teacher or Ms Gallegos for a voucher and together we can make sure the book fair is accessible to ALL DCES students.
Finally, at the register you may be asked if you'd like to round up to the nearest dollar and these contributions go directly to buying books for Desert Cove. |
PREVIEW DAY

The first day of the book fair, teachers have the option for students to preview the items at the fair. THERE ARE NO SALES ON THIS DAY. Students will create a wishlist and bring it home to review with parents to decide how much to send and if the selections are approved. |
after school shopping
 |
The book fair is usually open for after school shopping. Check the PTO calendar for specifics. Please note all students must be accompanied by an adult during after school shopping. It's a very busy shopping time and we usually don't have enough staff to help kids with choices and sales tax calculations during this time. |
